According to my friend Gregman, this
photo could be actually depicting the Mahavishnu Orchestra as they
played the concert that was released by Columbia. Here's the excerpt from
the original letter:
Earlier I was in contact with guitarist
Bill Berents
who also saw MO then at the Central
Park, N.Y.
and he thought this pic might have
been from
there(?). Anyway I received it
from an old collector
who said it was taken from an old
Down Beat magazine.
